What Is The Universal Individual Rights Project?

The Universal Individual Rights Project is a book, a Cause, and a Project.

Throughout human history, there have been various systematic ways of organizing and seeing societies. They’ve almost all been various forms of what we can accurately call forced-collectivism. They’ve ranged from primitive tribalism, to kingdoms ruled by what were seen as divine kings, and on, to various forms of mob rule, where instead of being ruled by tribal leaders and kings, people gained various degrees of relative freedoms, by forming groups and voting for things.

The development of the United States of America brought new dimensions of human liberty onto the scene. Suddenly it was deemed that “all men were created equal, and were endowed with certain inalienable rights” that were thought to be immune from being taken away or “infringed” by previous forms of government. These were legitimately termed “human rights”, or rights that rightfully belonged to individuals, which no one should have the power to take away. Rights like freedom of speech, and the right to keep and bear arms.

But there were problems, right from the beginning, because this form of government still allowed for the gradual erosion of it’s stated rights. The situation has devolved until today, where we’ve reached the point that, no matter who people vote for, their rights are still being eroded away. Government has grown to the point where, instead of it “working for the people”, the people are more accurately working for the government, and government can pretty much take as much of their property, and even their lives, as it pleases. In other words, government that is out of control.

And along with this, fiscal insanity and lack of any accountability, has grown to the dangerous point where governments are racking up such huge debts, that they can not ever hope to be repaid.

“No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth!” — President Ronald Reagan.

“It’s not fair to say that Congress spends money like a drunk sailor. At least the sailor is spending his own money!” – President Ronald Reagan.

These irrational practices have grown to the point where they not only threaten to destroy the United States, but could form a chain reaction among a multitude of governments, which could completely collapse the global economies, sinking the world into a new “Dark Ages”, which would include the loss of all legitimate human rights, from which humanity might never hope to recover.

It is in this atmosphere that The Universal Individual Rights Project was developed and written, in preliminary book form. It is based in a philosophy that stands in direct opposition to the philosophies that have brought about this dangerous situation that threatens to trigger the very demise of humanity. We of the Project, see this as the last best hope for humanity, but it must gain a foot hold soon, or it will be too late. – Kira Saoirse, author of “The Universal Individual Rights Project”.
